peerk12's results
Since 2021, PeerK12 has been on the front lines protecting K–12 education from anti-Jewish hate and extremist agendas; sometimes that advocacy means addressing individual incidents by working directly with impacted parents, students, teachers, and concerned community leaders, other times that means helping to shape - or reshape - policies that ensure long term protection against bias and hate.

May 2025 | After a Jewish freshman at San Dieguito Academy was the target of a human swastika during what was supposed to be a "smiley-face" fly-over photo-op, the school's leadership did not take action. Once PeerK12 was informed of the incident upon meeting the parents in August 2025, we immediately took action, alerted the school board and superintendent who were unaware - which went against district policy - and began the UCP process. Soon after, the Principal was removed and two APs were reassigned.
As of June 26, 2026, the National Jewish Advocacy Center, in partnership with PeerK12, filed a Petition for Writ of Mandate with the State of California seeking to compel enforcement of a California Department of Education order arising from an antisemitic incident at a district school. According to the petition, the district failed to implement the required corrective actions, and the Department of Education failed to ensure compliance with its own order, prompting the filing of the lawsuit.

November 2023 | We mobilized to ensure Lallia Allali was removed as Chair of the district’s DELAC by a 3-1 committee vote (one absent) after exposing her antisemitic and dangerous social media post, published just 20 days after the 10/7 attack on Israel.
PeerK12 circulated a petition that garnered 1,587 signatures along with 340 individual comments in less than 20 hours. We mobilized testimonies at both the DELAC as well as at the following SDUSD board meeting where the decision was upheld.
Allali is the wife of Imam Taha Hassane, who heads the Islamic Center of San Diego.

October 2022 | After a Carmel Valley Middle School history teacher told her 7th grade student that “Hitler had good leadership skills” when he asked her why the photo was on a board amongst MLK, JFK, and FDR, PeerK12 tried times to motivate the district to investigate the incident with no response. That's when we mobilized the community to advocate directly to the school board.
Our campaign garnered 1,448 signatures and widespread media coverage, eventually leading to the termination of the teacher as well as the principal, and sparked significant changes including the establishment of a Jewish Parent Committee and new staff training protocols.

December 2023 | After a student anonymously published an antisemitic and anti-American cartoon in the Bonita Vista High School school newspaper "Crusader," PeerK12 was brought in to mediate a conversation between the student editors and the Jewish club along with staff and the Principal, to help educate them on the dangers of social media echo chambers as well as the importance of due diligence and journalistic integrity.
The editors printed a retraction and apology.

April 2024 | After exposing the antisemitic posts of the Poway Unified School District JEDI (justice, equity, diversity & inclusion) committee chair, we mobilized to demand the school district be held accountable and remove her. The letter writing campaign resulted in the district taking immediate action and completely dismantling the ENTIRE Palomar Council PTA J.E.D.I. program.

September 2024 | After a parent submitted this coloring sheet to our partner "JewsinSchool" they alerted us and we immediately called a board member that we had a relationship with. That board member called the superintendent who was at a conference in Chicago, who in turn called the school's Principal who walked through the classroom and went through every piece of paper with the Superintendent on the phone to insure that there were no other egregious curriculum. The coloring sheet was immediately pulled, an investigation ensued, and an apology was issued.

November 2023 | PeerK12 was called by parents at Citizens of the World Charter School in East Valley Los Angeles after first graders were taught about an alleged "genocide" occurring in Gaza by Israel. PeerK12 advised the parents on their rights and what steps they should take to advocate for themselves and their children, including which ed code and state laws were violated by the lesson.
The two instructors were dismissed from their jobs, the Principal was put on leave during the investigation, and upon her return she posted the image on the left on social media and was escorted off campus and terminated immediately.

October 2021 | PeerK12 collaborated with Student Board Member Zach Peterson to draft and negotiate the Resolution “In the Matter of Addressing Antisemitism and Affirming the Value of Jewish Students, Staff, and Families" co-sponsored by board member Sharon Whitehurst-Payne in San Diego Unified School District which passed unanimously. We were successful in keeping in the essential IHRA definition of antisemitism. We mobilized more than 50 speakers - students and parents alike - who were up against opposition such as the head of the teacher's union and the Ethnic Studies department.
November 2021 | PeerK12 worked with school board member Michael Allman and the then-superintendent to put the resolution "Addressing Antisemitism and Affirming the Value of Jewish Students, Faculty, Staff and Families" on the agenda in San Dieguito Union High School District. We mobilized a Jewish Student Petition with examples of incidents that garnered 250 signatures within 24 hours, as well as a separate Parent Petition with 400 signatures in the same time frame to ask the board for this Resolution. With only the support of AISH and Rabbi Cooper of the Simon Weisenthal Center from the organized Jewish community, we were able to get the resolution passed with 4 yays, 0 nays, and 1 abstention.
December 2021 | PeerK12 worked directly with Superintendent Dr. Moises Aguirre and Asst. Superintendent Dr. Vernon Moore to put the Resolution Addressing Antisemitism and Affirming the Value of Jewish Students, Faculty, Staff and Families on the agenda after Bonita Vista High School student Anna Maya reached out to PeerK12 following the graffiti attack at her school. With her testimony and that of teacher and Jewish Student Union advisor Jennifer Ekstein, the board passed the resolution unanimously.
