Ed Code § 220:
California Anti-Discrimination Education Equity Laws – prohibits discrimination in any school program or activity on the basis of sex, race, color, religion, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic identified in lawcde.ca.gov.
Ed. Code §§ 234:
California Student Safety and Violence Prevention Act further requires anti-bullying policies protecting those categoriescde.ca.gov.
Ed. Code §§ 49091.10–49091.14: Parental Rights:
Parents have the right to inspect instructional materials, observe classrooms, confer with teachers, and be notified of their children’s progress.
Ed Code § 51101 codifies parent rights to participate in schools.
Ed. Code § 51938 - parents may opt children out of sex education and certain surveys (PPRA).
